Do Poked Kratom Capsules Dissolve Faster?
We tested whether poking holes in a kratom capsule helps it dissolve faster in water.
Result: the capsule started breaking down around the 2-minute mark—cutting the original time by more than half.
To follow up our first capsule test, we ran the same setup again: room temperature water, magnetic stirring machine—but this time, we poked a few small holes in the capsule before dropping it in.
The result:
The difference was noticeable. The capsule began breaking down much sooner than before, significantly faster than the ~8 minutes it took without any holes.
How This Compares to Other Tests
In our original water test, capsules took much longer to dissolve.
In soda, the capsule barely broke down even after ten minutes.
This suggests that physically opening the capsule—even slightly—can speed up how quickly it starts to break down.
While it’s not an instant change, poking holes may lead to a faster onset depending on how you’re using capsules.
👉 Could this work even better in acidic conditions like stomach acid?
We’ll test that next.
👉 Next up: What happens when we drop a capsule into soda?
