As said earlier, Yellow Kratom does not come from a specific kratom tree. Instead, producers use unique drying and fermentation processes to make Yellow Vein Kratom. Blending different vein strains is another common way of manufacturing Yellow Kratom. In simple words, manufacturers experimented with different cultivation, drying, and blending techniques to invent yellow Vein Kratom.
Traditional Preparation Methods in Southeast Asia
The first Kratom use was documented in 1836. Manual workers in Southeast Asia chewed fresh Kratom leaves to relieve fatigue and boost productivity. The natives also used fresh or dried leaves to brew Kratom tea. In addition, Kratom was traditionally used in ceremonies, healing practices, and other rituals.
The Harvesting and Drying Process
Mature Kratom leaves are harvested and immediately taken to fermentation for a certain period of time. Most manufacturers seal the leaves into black garbage bags and left to ferment for about 48 hours. Fermentation alters the alkaloid content of the leaves and gives them a yellowish hue.
The final and complete drying of the Kratom leaves is done under a shade after fermentation. What follows is crushing – Crushed Leaf Kratom – or grinding them into fine powder and packaged for distribution.
